Overview
According to the WHO report (2022), women in Europe exhibit lower levels of mental well-being compared to men. As a result, they are significantly more likely to report feelings of unhappiness, depression, difficulty coping with problems, and a loss of self-confidence.

Gender-based vulnerability plays a crucial role in shaping the impact of trauma on women. Those who have experienced war, forced migration, and both physical and psychological violence are particularly at risk of developing PTSD and depression.
Focusing on women facing mental health challenges, social exclusion, and displacement, the consortium aims to offer innovative solutions that support their confidence, foster personal growth, and enhance their ability to navigate life’s challenges.

Scope
Leveraging technology to empower vulnerable women on their journey toward mental well-being.
The partners are developing a digital platform that promotes mindfulness and well-being practices. It will offer resources tailored for women experiencing stressful situations, along with a supportive community where they can connect with others facing similar challenges. The solution will be highly adaptable to each user’s unique circumstances, providing accessible and meaningful support through easy-to-use mindfulness tools.
Target
Regardless of their social background, any woman struggling with stress, anxiety, or other mental health challenges will be supported by gaining the skills needed to cope with difficulties, manage emotions, make informed decisions, and build confidence and self-esteem.
Educators and social workers will have access to ready-to-use practices and tools to help the women in their care overcome personal challenges and enhance their overall well-being.
Impact
The proposed mindfulness practices aim to reduce stress and anxiety, promote improved mental well-being, and strengthen emotional resilience—ultimately lowering the risk of depression.
While these practices are not a substitute for professional support, they can help users become more aware of their mental state, receive suggestions from others in similar situations, and connect with educators who can guide them through mindfulness routines designed to boost their confidence in managing stress.

Partner Meeting in Malta

In May, the partners met in Malta to evaluate the platform that will host the multimedia content created by experts in mindfulness and women’s empowerment. During the meeting, the partners also set the dates for the training-of-trainers course, which we are pleased to host on November 17th, 18th, and 19th at our office. The course is free for members with a specialization related to the course topic.
17, 18 and 19 November – Training in Torino!
Partners met in Torino for the hybrid training course about mindfull practices.

Workshops in Torino, May and June 2026
As part of our ongoing commitment to making mental health support accessible and responsive to real-world needs, the MindfulHER platform recently hosted a specialized two-part workshop series designed specifically for young Ukrainian women currently navigating the challenges of displacement, war-induced stress, and profound life transitions.
The two intensive lessons focused on trauma-informed mindfulness practices, emotional regulation, and community building. In a world that often demands unyielding strength from these young women, the workshops provided a critical counterweight: a safe, quiet sanctuary to process emotion, release accumulated tension, and reclaim a sense of internal peace.
A big thank to the Cooperativa sociale L’Angolo di Modena for their support and cooperation in organizing the events.
